The annual Summer Fellowship Programme brings together undergraduate students from a wide range of disciplines, offering them the opportunity to work alongside leading researchers on projects spanning semiconductors, photonics, communications, sustainability, healthcare technologies, quantum research and advanced electronics. The programme provides valuable hands-on experience and a unique insight into the technologies shaping the future.
Exploring Career Pathways in Semiconductors
As part of the career pathways panel, Siobhán shared her experience of working within the semiconductor industry and discussed the diverse opportunities available across engineering, manufacturing, research, innovation and business leadership. The discussion focused on helping students better understand the range of career options available within Ireland’s rapidly growing semiconductor ecosystem and the skills needed to succeed in the sector.
