STEMblem Transition Year Competition Winners Announced

On the 21st of November, on a rare snowy day in Galway, the PorterShed hosted the final of our STEMblem Transition Year competition. Despite the weather, six innovative teams braved the conditions to present their projects to an enthusiastic audience and a panel of esteemed judges.

We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to all the schools and pupils who participated in the competition. Mint Tek was truly honored to collaborate with such talented students and educators, and we thoroughly enjoyed being part of this exciting and inspiring event.

Runner-Up

The runner-up prize went to Teidi Bears from Coláiste Éinde. Their project impressed the judges across all submission criteria, which included, Financial Plan, Presentation, Marketing Strategy, Performance & Feasibility, Innovation & Design. The Winners!

The first prize was awarded to The Trident Trio from St. Brigid’s College, Loughrea. The team—comprising Alan Haugh (sales and connections), Soham Burkul (business manager and presenter), and Nazar Pop (designer and organizer)—wowed the judges with their thoughtful design, presentation and impressive prototype.
