PCH Hackathon Dublin 2015
Recently, we attended a hackathon in DCU in Dublin, hosted by PCH. 52 hours of blood, sweat and tears to create a prototype from one of the first day pitch ideas. That doesn’t mean you need to be an engineer or anything of the sort. At the hackathon there were all types of people present, from homemakers to engineers. All the ideas were amazing!
Maker Faire UK
We were invited recently to run a workshop at the UK Maker Faire, which took place at the end of April in Newcastle. There were around 120 Makers in the Life Centre, with talks and performances also happening. It was really busy, with more than 10,000 attendees over the weekend.
Maker Faire Rome 2015
We went to the Maker Faire in Rome during October. We ran the Mint Tek Circuits workshop for adults and children to make flashing badges from printed circuit boards, using SMD technology, solder paster, a toaster oven and a Reflowster device.
Dublin Maker 2015
